Crosby Striper

Striper blueprint

The Crosby Striper 24 was designed by Wilton Crosby and has been custom crafted since 1947. Crosby quality construction, combined with efficient performance make this a subtly classy boat. Now built of fiberglass, the Striper enjoys the same heritage as the earlier wooden models. The Striper was designed specifically for choppy waters common to Nantucket Sound and Buzzards Bay. Over the years it has the deserved reputation for providing safe and smooth transportation in even the worst of sea states.

The hull and deck are over-built and cored with Baltek endgrain balsa. These are joined, sealed and fastened on 4″ centers to create a rugged watertight joint. A complete electrical bonding system is standard as well as an oversized stainless shaft through bolted deck hardware.

Following the profile of the graceful sheer is the trunk cabin with a solid teak windshield. Protective coamings travel aft from the windshield all the way to the transom. The topsides feature distinctive molded plank seams, side dinghy rails and a full length molded spray rail. The molded full keel provides excellent tracking and protects the bottom and propeller form unintentional groundings. Down below includes two large V-berths, a head, a hanging locker and a galley area.

Whether you are looking for your first or last boat, the Crosby Striper will provide the confidence and durability that help make safe boating fun. Your finished Crosby Striper will serve as a showpiece of quality and a source of long-lasting pride.
