This Sabre 38 Hard Top Express is in beautiful condition. Stored every off season indoors and professionally maintained since new, nothing has been spared in her care or maintenance. She has been used for day trips by her original owner. Captain washed and dried after every use. Her care and maintenance has been superb and she shows as almost a new vessel. Major Cummins engine service has been performed. The galley has never been used and she has been overnighted fewer than five times since new. Stidd seats recently reupholstered. Bow and stern thrusters allow for sure handling and maneuverability. The toe rails and trim have been maintained every off season and appear as new.

 Following factory description:

Quiet and economical to operate, the Sabre 38 Hard Top Express enjoys a classic reputation amongst experienced yachtsmen.

The helm deck is a careful study in ergonomics. Surrounded by large opening windows and overhead hatches for maximum ventilation and light. Views for the helmsman and crew are virtually unobstructed. The Stidd helm and mate’s chairs, covered in Ultraleather upholstery, provide a degree of comfort rarely found in other boats. To add to cruising comfort, Sabre’s engineers have reduced noise and vibration levels substantially with a careful study of engine room ventilation and insulation.

Wide side decks with large diameter stainless steel hand rails, standard rope chain windlass and highly polished aluminum hatches all add to the beauty and functionality of her deck. A large anchor roller makes anchoring work a breeze.

Below decks her hand-crafted cherry interior adds to the sense of luxury, evident throughout. The stateroom berth is low and wide, making it both comfortable and easy to access. A pocket door separates the salon and stateroom while the head with stall shower has private access from the stateroom and from the salon.

The main salon is configured with a long L-shaped settee and, her maple-inlaid salon table drops to form a guest berth. A standard thin screen TV and DVD player are recessed in to the furniture of the main cabin bulkhead.

Her well equipped galley offers an electric cook top, convection microwave oven and coffee maker as well as ample storage for extended voyages.

Accommodations

In the salon, there’s a stylish, curved bulkhead to port (actually the backside of the shower stall in the head compartment) and a starboard-side cherry entertainment center. The table serving the convertible settee here has an inlaid pattern that’s a work of art. More of this is evident on the helm deck, where in this standard configuration layout on, both the captain and mate get fully adjustable Stidd mounts. If you’ve spent a lot of time cruising, then you know a quality perch can help prevent an aching back. There’s a clear-top chart box forward to port and a folding table—again beautifully inlaid—aft. Sabreline paid close attention to ventilation and visibility on the helm deck. The hardtop has two screened hatches for air, plus an overhead grabrail for safety. The big windows forward have wipers with washers; the ones on the side slide open. The helm deck space is wrapped by an aft enclosure. The helm bridge deck area is cooled by  the 12,000-BTU air conditioners/ heaters with separate “his and her” controls and there is more AC down below in the cabins. Aft of the passenger helm seat is a very comfortable molded in bench seat with a port side drop down table. The teak toerails end with sculpted stainless steel chocks forward, and two more are set into the toerail amidships. Toe rails and moldings have been cared for annually with professional varnish maintenance.
